Are you for eighty-sixing Ru486 ? The whole "pro-choice" thing gets scarier everyday. Read all about it. --Joe

Lost in all the commentary on the FDA's approval of the abortion pill RU-486 is an inconvenient and extraordinarily chilling detail about the company that invented the drug, Rousell-Uclaf. Rousell, based in France, developed RU-486 in the 1980s, and after extensive testing the French government approved it for use in 1988. But Rousell's West German parent company, Hoechst AG, did not. Hoechst had two problems with the idea of making easy abortions available to a mass market. Not only was abortion illegal in largely Catholic pre-unification West Germany, but RU-486 was sure to conjure up memories of the darkest chapter in German history - the Holocaust. The chiefs at Hoechst AG, now one of the largest chemical companies in the world with over 145,000 employees, did not want their overseas customers to be reminded - or perhaps learn for the first time - about Hoescht's direct link to the Nazi death camps of World War II. Hoechst itself was born of the Nuremberg War Tribunal, which disbanded its precursor, the Nazi chemical giant IG Farben. The tribunal convicted twelve Farben executives of war atrocities, including "crimes against humanity, murder, extermination and enslavement." Hoechst, Bayer and BASF became Farben's direct postwar corporate descendants. Farbenworks factories at Hoechst, Degesch and Leverkusen worked overtime producing toxic gases for the Third Reich, including the deadly agent Zyklon B - the very poison that was used to exterminate millions in Hitler's gas chambers.
The Buna Rubber facility at Auschwitz was also part of Farbenworks' Nazi operations, which even included a special corporate concentration camp at the site known as Monowitz. But Monowitz was just one of several slave labor camps operated by Hoechst's corporate ancestor throughout the Nazi empire before Hitler's defeat in 1945.No wonder today's pro-abortion journalists don't want to remind their readers about the connection between America's new abortion pill and the deadly history of the company that invented it.

On My Mind...

Gun safes: virtually impenetrable; made of hardened steel; fire proof; very resistant to force. These vaults are used to store firearms and anything else that one may not want to leave laying around in plain sight. Gun safes. This is what many men use to store their unpleasant, painful memories. We convert a part of our minds into impenetrable vaults and then purposefully lose the keys. With time we even forget the contents of our safes. And we continue to fall apart.
The problem is that we spend the rest of our lives feeling like something is missing. We torment ourselves, fail in our relationships, sedate ourselves with drink, drugs, and all manner of temporary blinders to the truth. We have no closure, and as such, the forgotten contents of our gun safes continue to suppurate... a quiet infection of the mind that will consume and destroy many.
Abortion is the new-age holocaust. Pro-abortion pundits will be remembered in history as a people for whom "self"  was almighty, a people for whom the sanctity of life held no value. Abortion is a devastating alternative. It fully as devastating to the father as to the mother. What remains is a legacy of murder, and vilification. We have become creatures of convenience, and irresponsibility.
We are become the Sodom and Gomorra of today. These are not places... they are ideologies, whose time has passed. Only one who is flawed and soulless could not see that. Because we men are silent, we are forgotten and are largely unrecognized as victims. And so, we suffer our losses alone....but we do not have to. Take courage. It is time. Stand. Be heard. Lead. You are not alone. --Joe

The Lord said unto him, "Who gives man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or dumb? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? It is I, the lord. Now, go! I will help you to speak, and I will tell you what to say." Exodus 4:11-12

In The mailbag... I don't know who wrote this but the Samaritan sounds like an "ordinary Joe" to me. --Joe

A man jogging one early morning falls down into a hole in his path, and injures himself. Soon another guy happens by, hears the cry for help coming from nowhere, says a quick prayer, and continues on his way. Later, yet another guy, a doctor pulling a golf bag,  happens by and hearing the cries for help, looks into the hole and asks, "Can I help you?" The guy in the hole says, "Yes, I fell down here and hurt my leg." The doctor looks at his watch, writes a prescription for pain, drops it in the hole, and continues on his way.
A little while later, another guy happens by, hears the yelling, and looks down in the hole, and says: "Hey, is somebody down there?" "Yeah," the guy says! "I fell down here and hurt myself, can you help me out?" The man says "sure", and jumps down into the hole. "What'd you do that for," the wounded man cries, "now we're both stuck down here!" "Nah," the guy says, "you see, I've been down here before... and I know the way out."

On My mind...

A great poet, Robert Frost, once wrote: ". . . A man can't speak of his own child that's dead." With all due respect to Mr. Frost, God rest his soul: I believe that men can and should speak. As one voice. For what we have lost... and for those we've yet to loose. --Joe

Dear Pro-Life Joes,

Cinta Latina Research is proud to sponsor PRO-LIFE JOES. This site is long over-due... I am glad to know that there is a forum for men at last on the issues of loss that confront aborted fathers every day. My brother's story is just like yours. He lost his baby to abortion too. The nightmare of loss continues in our nation and plagues our world.
Abortion's tolls grow and spread. The established link between abortion and breast cancer shows us that abortion's reach is longer than we first believed, and snatches mothers away from their families later, when they think that all is past and that they are safe.
Abortion has increased 40% since Roe v. Wade, the infamous Supreme Court decision, and men have been hurt in its wake every single day until today. There was no where to go with that pain until now. Thanks for speaking out Joe, there are more of you than you knew. Together you have a powerful voice.
Comfort one another here. Marshall your forces. Arm yourselves with the facts. Speak Up.
